It’s been 4 days and I believe the Attend could be making it’s mark but I’m going to wait to be certain. It could be the heat! This morning Arthur woke up and asked to play his Vsmile. I asked him to turn it off and eat breakfast. What usually is a huge arument was a yes ma’am and he sat down and ate and then asked if we could go outside to play. Because of the heat we didn’t stay out long so we came back inside and he has asked to work in his work books. This week he has picked up his very old preschool work books and worked through a whole book in one sitting each day.
That’s all good and fine but I’m going to see how he adapts to change in his schedule next week. This is a big problem with him so we gradually work our way in. We will do a month of remedial as opposed to the 9 day remedial in the curriculum. This, I’m certain, will surely prepare him to read better and remind him of the letters and sounds he became so familiar with in Kindergarten.
As far as Arthur’s diet, we don’t ever buy juice and never buy candy. We have gone whole foods and any fast food if any is far between visits. I’m talking months in between. We never eat out. He is so spoiled that he’d rather me cook than to eat out. I have discovered though because we have started drinking lactose free milk in the past couple of months, that when he had some of our homeade ice cream made with whole cream, he complained a lot of his stomach hurting. I’m going to stick wth soy and maybe see if there is something else I could do. He does have icee pops because of the heat. I will be letting them run their course and they’ll be gone by next week. I won’t be buying more after that.
I’m posting on my scrapblog, yes but I have no other blog. I want to tell you a little about my son first. He will be 6 in August. He is EXTREMELY ADHD and he is very active and cannot keep focus very long. We do try and work with him a lot on this and he is homeschooled so that I can. I found a homeopathic medicine that I am going to try and I will update here to let you know if it is working. I will also be eliminating certain things from his diet. Starting today NO SUGAR WHATSOEVER! We’ll see if it works. Also he will only have lactose free milk or soy and see if that helps at all. Here is what i’m using: Attend It’s pretty expensive but I’m pretty desperate. I know he wants to be able to pay attention. he tells me he wants to and I want to help him so here goes day 1! It should take at least a week for it to build up in his system.
He aready eats pretty healthy so there aren’t a lot of big changes I can make. We grow a year round garden so he gets fresh fruits and veggies around here. I’m really not sure what other changes I can make as we don’t buy candy. I’m praying that God has led me to something promising to help me to help him. My husband is skeptical and thinks it is not going to but even Arthur has hope that it could. Wish us luck and I’ll be back to update!

Hi gals (and guys?) I have put forth a challenge for my creative team this past week and now I am bringing it to you! It seems to be a lot of fun and I think you will like it!
I decided to mix together a couple of kits that would not normally go together. I then create a layout in the most appealing manner and challenge myself to make it work! Well I absolutely love the result of the layout I made and I challenged my creative team to mix together the same kits and see what they come up with! the results were so stunning I had to come to my blog and post about it and now teh challenge is yours!
